Women’s Safety: A Call for Radical Change
The time for passive concern about women’s safety is over. Abuse, gender bias, violence, and harassment continue to escalate—turning every space into a potential zone of fear. We can no longer afford to merely sympathize; it’s time to act.
This installation is designed to ignite that change, compelling you to not just understand but to feel the violations women face every day.
Installation Description: A Powerful, Immersive Experience
This installation immerses you in the reality of women’s daily struggles. A narrow passageway, lined with metal frames and cloth, invites participants to walk through. Sculpted metal hands reach out, brushing and grabbing, making your movement slow and uncomfortable.
As you pass through, an audio track of catcalling intensifies the unsettling atmosphere, reflecting the harassment women endure. No explanations. No text. Just an experience that forces you to confront the violation firsthand.
At the end of the passage, you see your discomfort reflected in a mirror—a stark reminder of what countless women live through. This installation doesn’t just ask for empathy; it demands action.
The goal is simple: to spark real change, starting in your own neighborhood, and ripple outward. It’s time to step up and create a world where women can move without fear—where respect and safety are non-negotiable.
This is more than an experience. It’s a call to action. Will you answer?
