Art of Wind Metal Sculptures

As an artist deeply inspired by the interplay of nature and metal, I am thrilled to share my journey with wind metal sculptures—a captivating form of art that only comes to life when the wind flows. I was honored to receive the Junior Fellowship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) under the Government of India. This prestigious award allowed me to delve into the world of wind metal sculptures, culminating in my Vyom Shilp series.

The Vyom Shilp series, which translates to "Wind Sculptures," explores themes of balance, unity, nature, and introspection. Using brass and iron, I create sculptures that embody a rustic elegance, each piece finished with a gold glimmer. The choice of brass and iron not only adds durability but also enhances the sculptures' visual appeal, capturing the essence of both strength and delicate artistry.

The unique aspect of these sculptures is their interaction with the wind. Designed to move gracefully with the breeze, each sculpture becomes a dynamic, living piece of art. This movement symbolizes the delicate balance between nature and human creation, reflecting how the wind animates and transforms static forms into fluid, ever-changing entities.

In the Vyom Shilp series, the theme "Together" highlights the unity of diverse elements in nature, while "Nature is Us" reflects our intrinsic connection to the environment. "Introspection" invites viewers to ponder their place within this natural harmony. The rustic and gold finish adds a timeless quality, allowing each piece to resonate with both contemporary and traditional aesthetics.

Creating wind metal sculptures has been an enriching experience, blending artistic vision with the elemental forces of nature. This journey, supported by the CCRT, has deepened my appreciation for the intersection of art, environment, and movement, offering a unique perspective on the world around us.
